Motion was made by Rick Thompson to approve the financial report seconded by Phil Deiss.

Larry Koch asked if the club received a response to the request for funds from the Natural Resources Committee map printing. We have not gotten an answer and Carl stated that he didn’t expect anything until next year.

Larry Dale reported that he and Al Sikkink had met with members of the Swiss Town Board regarding ATV riding in Danbury. It seems the trail in that area needs to be moved because of the location of the Forest Ranger station. They also spoke to the Forest Ranger about the changes needed. They will continue to work on getting ATV riding allowed in Danbury and Swiss Township with the final result being to be able to ride from Smitty’s to Danbury. Carl also reported that the one mile of mostly road travel from Webster to Smitty’s and Hap’s Landing has been approved for ATV’s.

The poker run last month had limited participation but the event went smoothly and everyone who attended enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Ron and Cheryl Gray for all their work and Steven Burkinshaw for hosting the event.

The meat raffle and helmet raffle at Oakridge was well attended and thanks to Jim and Cheryl Wlaschin for allowing us to conduct the raffles at their establishment.

The first annual booya feed will be held on Saturday, October 4 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Oakridge Inn. Larry Dale distributed posters to be posted in local businesses. Larry Koch made a motion that the event be advertised in the yellow paper for the next three weeks, seconded by Dean Joersz. Oakridge will provide music and club raffles will be held throughout the day. Larry Koch will contact local member ATV dealerships to see if any would like to have a limited display in the parking lot.

There was a lengthy discussion with many ideas expressed regarding a 2009 fund raiser. It was decided that we should consider the raffle of an ATV, possibly a trailer and five cash prizes with the option of cash instead of the ATV. The event will be held at next year’s booya feed which will be held at Rosenthal’s on October 3, 2009. Several people volunteered to contact the dealerships regarding prices. The number of tickets, the price of a ticket and the specifics will be decided by the Board of Directors at their meeting on October 4.

The winner of the $30.00 jackpot was Jan Koch.

Motion was made and seconded by Harold Beedy to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 11:20 a.m.

                                        Respectfullly submitted,

                                        Mary Anne Thompson, Secretary
